BeyHive, get your coins ready. On Wednesday (February 1), Beyoncé started Black History Month with the rollout for her ‘Renaissance’ World Tour after rumors and leaks of concert dates flooded social media. The upcoming performances will be Beyoncé’s sixth solo headlining tour, as she last held the On the Run II global tour with husband and longtime collaborator Jay-Z in 2018.
Bey, 41, will kick off the US leg of the ‘Renaissance’ World Tour on July 12 in Philadelphia before hitting Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New Orleans and more. You can see all the dates on her website. In September 2022, Page Six revealed that Bey was planning to take her seventh album to stadiums worldwide the following summer.
The tour announcement comes on the heels of Bey’s invite-only headlining concert at luxury Dubai resort Atlantis The Royal in January. The engagement was also the artist’s first live show in four years, as she ran through 19 songs in her back catalog including “Countdown,” “XO,” “Beautiful Liar,” “Ave Maria” and “I Care” during the 75-minute set.
Debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 upon its release in July 2022, Renaissance features appearances from Tems, Grace Jones and Beam. The LP has received nominations for Album of the Year and Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. As the most-nominated artist at the 2023 Grammys, Bey has also earned nominations for Best Traditional R&B Performance (“Plastic Off the Sofa;”) Best R&B Performance (“Virgo’s Groove;”) Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Dance/ Electronic Recording (“Break My Soul”).
The deluxe 2 LP Renaissance is available for purchase on Okayshop.
