Titled Lando: Double or Nothing, the comic book will be written by Rodney Barnes (executive producer and writer of The Boondocks) and serves as a prequel to Lando's story in Solo.

"It's focused on Lando set during an incident right before the film, with backstory about Lando and L3," Lucasfilm Publishing creative director Michael Siglainsaid to Entertainment Weekly. "Coming out of the film, we think everyone is going to want to read more about Lando."

The series will drop after the release of the film on May 30, 2018.

The first trailer for Solodropped a few weeks ago. The clip showing Glover as Calrissian is brief as the actor wears a large coat and looks onward with a very serious face.

Last year it was revealed that Glover would be portraying Calrissian for the Star Wars film.

Shortly after the announcement The Hollywood Reporter released an interview with Glover, where the multi-talented creative recounted meeting Billy Dee Williams and talking about portraying Calrissian with him.

"I was like, 'I've always felt like this character could do this, and he represents this, and I kind of feel like he comes from here, and it's very obvious he has a lot of taste, so maybe he grew up seeing that from afar?' Because I'm like that," Glover said. "Maybe he saw it from other planets and was like, 'I want to be that.' He just let me ramble on and on, and then finally I was like, 'So, what do you think?' And he goes, 'Yeah, I don't know about all that. Just be charming.'"
