Vibe Magazine is gone (again). The influential magazine--the first to address hip-hop as generation rather than a genre--has been purchased by SpinMedia and will apparently be halting print editions. SpinMedia, previously known as BuzzMedia, bought Spin Magazine last year and owns over 40 pop-culture websites. Like Spin, Vibe will continue on the web. Steve Hansen of SpinMedia said:
"It’s really exciting to add this to SpinMedia’s collection of music properties and bring more digital DNA to the team and see what they can do.”
