FLOTUS Michelle Obama Hosts Women Of Soul Concert At The White House

FLOTUS Michelle Obama will host The Women of Soul: In Performance at the White House this week with performances from Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, Melissa Etheridge, Jill Scott, Janelle Monáe and more. The latest event on the First Lady’s social calendar follows her recent appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, where she appeared alongside Fallon and Will Ferrell on Ew! The performance, which also features appearances from Ariana Grande and Tessanne Chin, will be streaming live from The White House this Thursday night for soul music lovers across the nation. The live stream precedes an official broadcast of the performance, coming April 7th on PBS. The event, which spotlights the “foremothers” of American music, will coincide with a daytime workshop at The White House to educate students about women in soul.
