You might have heard: Black History Month is coming to an end. So with that in mind, this week we’re looking at some of the best — and most free — ways to celebrate it. Tap in to see the lineup for yourself below.

MANHATTAN

Library After Hours (Pay What You Wish)

Friday, Feb. 27, 7:30 - 10:30 p.m

Through this special exhibit that takes a look at Puerto Rican contributions to the world of comics. 

Arsenal Gallery: Celebrating 40 Years of Ebony

Friday, Feb. 27, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Study 40 years of NYC Parks’ Ebony Society through special photos and poetry from its members. It’s one of the best ways to spend the second-to-last day of Black History Month. 

Mind + Body Training

Saturday, Feb. 28, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Come through this free class to help learn to conquer your mind, body, and spirit in the best way possible. 

Brooklyn

Seydou Keita at BK Museum (Free with Membership)

Friday, Feb. 27, Saturday, Feb. 28, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Through May, you can pull up to the Brooklyn Museum to experience the portrait work of legendary photographer Seydou Keïta. 

Saturdays at Mama Taco • Hip-Hop + Reggae + Afrobeats + Reggaeton + Soca

Saturday, Feb. 28 - March 1, 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Pregame hard and enjoy a free night dancing to all the best hip-hop, reggae, afrobeat, reggaeton, and soca music you ear drums can handle. 

Brooklyn Bridge - Walk and Talk

Saturday, Feb. 28, 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

It might be cool AF outside, but this locale is still beautiful, and chatting it up with community members on a casual stroll is a great way to spread love the Brooklyn way.
