We are about a month away from the release of Blood Orange's new album Negro Swan, the follow up to his 2016 classic (can we say it?) Freetown Sound.

The singer has just released the first video from the album. It's for the breezy-sounding single "Charcoal Baby." In typical Dev Hynes fashion, the video is gorgeous, full of rich color and details about the everyday experiences of regular black people.

Dev Hynes talked about what to expect with his new album in a statement. He said:

My newest album is an exploration into my own and many types of black depression, an honest look at the corners of black existence, and the ongoing anxieties of queer/people of color. A reach back into childhood and modern traumas, and the things we do to get through it all.
