Watch Anna Wise + Crew Dressed As Nuns In The Joyously Feminist Visuals For "Go"
Many know Anna Wise from duo Sonnymoon and her multiple collaborations with Kendrick Lamar. For those that don't know, Wise released her stellar debut solo project, a musical feminist proclamation of sorts, The Feminine: Act 1, a few months back. Since then we've been treated to the visuals for tracks “Precious Possession” and “BitchSlut.” And now we get the visuals for another cut off The Feminine: Act 1. In the video for "Go" we see Anna Wise and crew donned in nun outfits joyously dancing and sticking it to a problematic preacher. The visuals also feature Wise rollerblading through Brooklyn's famed Prospect Park. The video boasts appearances from Jean Grae, Dane Orr, comedian Damien Lemon as the preacher, and many more. Throughout The Feminine: Act 1 Wise investigates stereotypes surrounding women, including "the slut," the high powered business woman, the wife, and the nun, blowing them open.
