Sampha's never been shy about putting his touch on another artists's song. We've seen him cover Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U" as well as Roy Davis Jr.'s Chicago house classic "Gabriel," both performed with a lone piano accompaniment. Yesterday, the British r&b stunner returned to BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge with a string section in tow to deconstruct Drake's smash "Controlla" into a heavenly serenade. You can watch that below. It's not his first run with Canadian pop behemoth's material, as he was prominently featured on More Life's mid-album trap ballad "4422," and was first summoned to the charts by Drake on his 2013 hit "Too Much." Sampha's debut full-length album, Process, is out now. Pick up your copy on iTunes today.
