Appearing on GQ's "Actually Me" video series, where he answered real questions on the Internet about himself, as well as Wu-Tang, Meth responded to someone who asked, "How Dave East gon' play Method Man when Method Man could play Method Man?"
"See, this has come up a lot," Meth said. "I cannot play myself as young myself, it wouldn't even look right."
"I saw it as an opportunity for someone like myself when I first got into it, 'cause there weren't a lot of people giving you a chance to show that you can do it," Meth added. "So when I seen Dave's name in the pot I was like, 'yeah he's just like me. He wants to be an actor, fuck it, give him a shot.' The question has no validity as far as I go."
Elsewhere in the video, Meth also said that Wu-Tang exists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and used the opportunity to express his interest in portraying X-Men character Bishop in a film.
A documentary series on Wu-Tang titled Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics and Menrecently made its debut on Showtime.
