Teyana Taylor, Ryan Coogler Take Home Trophies at the 2026 Golden Globes
‘One Battle After Another’ took home major honors as TV shows like ‘Pluribus’ and ‘The Studio’ also won.
The 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards brought out Hollywood’s best and brightest. Continuing its remarkable award season run, One Battle After Another took home a whopping four awards at the show. Among those was Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture for Teyana Taylor, who gave one of the night’s most memorable acceptance speeches.
“Oh my God, I almost didn’t even write a speech because I didn’t think I would get this,” she said, visibly emotional. “Oh my babies! My babies are upstairs watching, y’all better be off those damn phones and watching me right now.”
Ryan Coogler’s Sinners also had a standout night at the Golden Globes. The film won Best Original Score and was honored with the Award for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement. One Battle After Another director Paul Thomas Anderson also won Best Director and Best Screenplay and Taylor also thanked him during her speech.
"To Paul 'Let 'Em Cook' Thomas Anderson, thank you for your vision, your trust, and your brilliance,” said Taylor. “My gratitude is endless. I love you, we love you, and thank you so much for holding space for me and our entire cast."
While thanking her co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, Chase Infiniti, Regina Hall, Taylor also gave a shoutout to the brown girls watching.
"And last, but most importantly, to my brown sisters and little brown girls watching tonight, our softness is not a liability,” she said. “Our depth is not too much. Our light does not need permission to shine. We belong in every room we walk into. Our voices matter, and our dreams deserve space. Thank you so much, everybody. Thank you!"
