Sherri Shepherd’s daytime talk show, Sherri, has been canceled after four seasons. Debmar-Mercury, the Lionsgate-owned syndicated TV production company that produces the show, announced on Monday, Feb. 2. They also indicated that there’s a possibility of continuing the show on a digital platform.

Sherri tapes live at New York City’s Chelsea Studios in front of a studio audience. The show will continue to air its current Season 4, with the final episodes to wrap in the fall.

“This decision is driven by the evolving daytime television landscape and does not reflect on the strength of the show, its production — which has found strong creative momentum this season — or the incredibly talented Sherri Shepherd,” said Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “We believe in this show and in Sherri and intend to explore alternatives for it on other platforms.”

Sherri was created in the aftermath of the ending of The Wendy Williams Show, led by Shepherd, the comedian and onetime co-host of The View. It debuted on Fox stations in September 2022 after host Wendy Williams exited her show amid health issues. Sherri won an NAACP Image Award for outstanding talk series in 2023; Shepherd won for outstanding host in 2025.

The news of Sherri’s cancellation comes as another popular daytime show is ending. It was also announced that The Kelly Clarkson Show is being canceled by NBC Universal after seven seasons.

"This was not an easy decision — but this season will be my last," Clarkson wrote in an Instagram post on Monday. “Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.”

Shepherd has yet to issue an official statement on the show’s cancellation. She is currently on the road on her Make It Make Sense comedy tour.
