Back in April 2016, Run the Jewels dropped the insect-inspired video for “Love Again,” featuring Memphis rap legend Gangsta Boo. The track, part of their acclaimed Run the Jewels 2 album, debuted amidst a high-energy Coachella set and was directed by Ninian Doff for Pulse Films and JASH.
Set against a lush backdrop of close-ups — bees pollinating, flowers blooming, and Venus fly traps snapping shut — the visuals cleverly mirror the provocative, tongue-in-cheek lyricism of the song. The video’s stylized natural imagery underscores the track’s playful defiance and bold sensuality.
The song itself is particularly notable for featuring Gangsta Boo, one of the few female voices on the album, which added a fierce feminine twist to the track’s suggestive narrative. “Love Again” went on to win critical acclaim, including UK Music Video Awards for Best Urban Video and Best Editing.
