It's Happening: Will Smith Confirms Plans To Tour With Jazzy Jeff In 2016

After recent hints from both himself and Jazzy Jeff, Will Smith confirmed that he will, in fact, go on tour next year. The for-sure came during the actor/MC's visit to the Ellen DeGeneres show, and centered around Smith's sense of unfinished business. He and Jazzy never fully toured as a duo during their Fresh Prince of Bel-Air/"Summertime" glory days, and so a 2016 road itinerary will be a kind of full-circle opportunity.

"So, we released our first record in 1986," Will Smith said. "Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble was our first record, but by 1990 I was already on The Fresh Prince. So, in that time, we just we were getting started and I never actually had a chance to go on tour, so I really want to get out there and do it for real." DeGeneres joked a bit with Smith, putting a photo of he and Jazzy Jeff as teenagers on the screen. Smith immediately laughed before shouting "Ok, maybe I won't!"

Smith's return to the music realm began weeks ago with his feature on Bomba Estereo's "Fiesta (Remix)." Since then, Jazzy Jeff has intimated that new music will be recorded and we'll be seeing the two on the road, and Smith is scheduled to perform with Bomba Estereo at the upcoming Latin Grammy Awards.
