Tyler The Creator has had nothing short of an outstanding 2015. Currently, he's wrecking stages across the country with A$AP Rocky, Danny Brown and Vince Staples. Earlier this week he dropped a trailer for his new animated series The Jellies, wherein a human boy learns he was adopted by his jellyfish parents (shocking, I know.) He even launched his own mobile media platform in GolfMedia to host that show and whatever other morsels of riotous hilarity that pop into his brain. And let's not forget, he dropped an album this year; a very good one, in fact.
But today he's keeping the streak going in a video for two of the finer offerings from Cherry Bomb, splitting the madness of "Buffalo" and the airy love jones of "Find Your Wings" to a two-part piece that's as stirring and equally conflicting as the album itself. The subversive side playing out in the first phase for "Buffalo" where a white-faced Tyler breaks free of a neuce, only to be chased by a pitchfork-clad mob, until the chaos dissolves into the latter track and a Soul Train-ish setup for him and backing-band The Internet & Kali Uchis to rock. It's a weird one, no doubt, but you won't be able to keep your eyes off of it.
And to be honest, as far as this writer's concerned, Odd Future's head honcho already had one of the year's most vibrant visuals in "Fucking Young." This one just puts another notch on the belt. Watch Tyler The Creator's latest audiovisual (cherry) bomb explode down below.
