Kevin Parker Gets Busy In Tame Impala's 'Currents' LP Trailer
The wait for Tame Impala's Lonerism follow-up has been a long but fruitful one, commencing with the dreamy, disco-flecked single "Let It Happen" (but really all the way back to lead-man Kevin Parker's plentiful assistance on Mark Ronson's stellar boogie revue Uptown Special at the top of the year.) And while slow-burning cuts like "Cause I'm A Man" and the lovely "Eventually" have helped hold us over, it's painfully clear that there's a whole let left to be seen and heard. Today the critic-proof Aussie unit has unveiled a trailer for Currents, featuring a bit of the album's wavy intro "Nangs," paired to plentiful in-studio and scenic clips of Parker working his magic, whether it be on guitar, keys or patio-clad drums. You can watch the trailer for Tame Impala's Currents below along with their full slate of forthcoming tour dates. And once your eyes and ears have had their fill, go and preorder the record on iTunes ahead of its July 17th release.
