Tame Impala Share Dreamy Disco-Touched Single "Let It Happen" + Announce US Tour Dates
Tame Impala AKA the hallucinogen-heavy studio persona of Kevin Parker, may be best known in the Okay-realm for his (their?) contributions to Mark Ronson's star-lined Uptown Special LP earlier this year. Or maybe even a few of you remember that spot-on cover of Outkast's "Prototype" from years ago. But today at least one Okayplayer is enthused to say that the genre-smashing band of one is back with a cerebral new cut, channeling the disco spirits tapped in the uptown sessions on the dreamy new cut "Let It Happen."
If by chance, you are familiar with the group's psyche-funk rock steez, then this newbie may seem a bit unconventional, as its driving, very danceable groove could double time on the rooftop BBQ scene and at your local warehouse rave, stuttering, stumbling and eventually skipping until it's Rodgers-esque guitar strut picks up and lifts you to a new plane. And while there's no word on when we can expect the follow up to the critically and publicly adored Lonerism LP, there are a slew of new tour dates to get you acquainted live and direct, all of which can be found down below with the cerebral new cut "Let It Happen." Hit play and enjoy.
