Styles P Goes In Over A Bit Of Jaylib History

Styles P Drops A Brand New Freestyle Over A Classic Jaylib Beat

It’s truly a great weekend for fans of The Lox. The ever-excellent Styles P has just yesterday shared a brand new freestyle over a bit of Jaylib history, dropping hot-and-fresh-out-the-oven bars atop “The Red” off of 2003′ Champion Sound. The new drop seems to be dedicated in particular to the late, great James Yancey given that Styles P uploaded it with the track title “Ghost Dilla.”

In case you’ve lapsed in your Dillatude and forgotten, the beat is a cocky march of hi hat and piano, underwritten by a thonry synth bass that gives absolutely zero f**ks. Styles’s re-up of the track features a bit of assistance from MC Fortes. The appearance of “Ghost Dilla” came only moments after Styles P uploaded “Ghost Get Down,” another dynamic freestyle(ish) cut that proves the MC hasn’t lost a single shred of his speed or power as the years have gone by. Listen to both of the new Styles P joints below and then treat yourself to his LOX teammate Jadakiss’s newly-delivered freestyle bars as well. With all this activity out of their camp, is it possible the group is gearing up for a return? We can only sit tight for the moment, listen and hope so.
