Sonnymoon Returns w/ The Sparse & Funky New Cut "Grains Of Friends"

Sonnymoon - "Grains Of Friends"

Anna Wise & Dane Orr return to the world as the electric and mellifluous Sonnymoon, unveiling the sparse, but ever so funky new single "Grains Of Friends" off their forthcoming The Courage Of Present Times. Over a minimal, bass-heavy production, touched by warm & wavy guitar licks,  Wise's voice cascades in a manner reminiscent of Dave Longstreth's Dirty Projectors endeavors, peppering the knock of the groove with a reverb heavy treatment that should prove to be ripe for all of the remixes one can bear. But we're hoping y'all will just let this one be.

The single comes as a follow-up to their late January drop "Pop Music", and of course, Wise's recent set of features on Kendrick Lamar's recently released insta-classic To Pimp a Butterfly, which has been blowing minds far and wide since its surprise release this past Monday. If you've yet to grab that, we implore you to do so on you very next trip to iTunes. Otherwise, just hold tight, The Courage Of Present Times will be arriving on eager ears this coming Tuesday, March 24th. Listen to Sonnymoon's latest single "Grains Of Friends' below and stay tuned for the album drop.
