Boston Duo Sonnymoon Returns With The Electric New Single "Pop Music" From Their Forthcoming 'The Courage Of Present Times' LP, Out March 23rd.
Sonnymoon returns with the electric new single "Pop Music" - the first taste of the duo's highly-anticipated The Courage Of Present Times LP, due out March 23rd. The track is a portent of good things that grows from a buzzing whisper of percussion into a careening Vanity 6 inspired booster shot of funk. It is loud, spastic and delectably intriguing. This appetizer of a track was probably the best vehicle for the news of Sonnymoon's forthcoming release. Anna Wise explains the thinking behind the track, which debuted via FADER:
"I had to admit to my boyfriend that I was having inter-dimensional intercourse with another man," Wise explains the song's meaning to FADER.I told him it didn't mean anything because it happened during a dream, but he couldn't get over it, so he started to ignore me. Once that happened, I began to dream about him instead. Then we broke up."
