Sam Smith has had nothing short of a remarkable year. He paid his dues across the pond and got picked up by EDM's great redeemers Disclosure for a standout feature on their club-rocking smash "Latch" and had the opportunity to work with funk lord Nile Rodgers on the true-boogie anthem "Together." And now we get the gorgeous gospel choir laced single "Stay With Me," another exceptional offering from Sam's upcoming full length debut In The Lonely Hour, strutting his tremendous vocal range and knack for more pop-infused anthems and putting him on par with powerhouse crossover vocalists like Adele, Amy Winehouse and even --to a certain degree-- Beyonce.
Following up last night's epic performance at Webster Hall, Smith will be making his US late-night debut this coming weekend as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live, turning out millions more who have yet had the opportunity to lavish in the supreme authority of his vocals. So get ready to answer a ton of question from your homies, as this weekend will likely prove to be Smith's coming out party here in the states. If you've been following our coverage of the young balladeer, than you should have no problem shouldering that weight. Sam's major label debut In The Lonely Hour drops June 17th stateside, but you can be sure we'll have more on him soon. Peep the latest from Sam Smith below.
