“That was so dope” exclaimed the spry and traptastic duo Rae Sremmurd as their all-too-hype performance of “No Type” came to a close at the Roots Jam Session just a few nights ago. And they weren’t messing around. While Miguel might have only needed the rhythm section, Slim Jimmy and Swae Lee took it to the stage to rekindle the flame with a full Fifth Dynasty roster in tow, turning up in all the right ways. If you’ve ever wondered what Mike Will‘s bare, club-killing productions might sound like with the hardest working band in show business at the helm — outside of studio 6b, of course — here’s your shot. Watch Rae Sremmurd and The Roots go in on an extra live performance of “No Type” from the Roots Jam Session below and peep the full roll call of appearances and performers in our recap of the evening’s events.
