Cape Town “noir waver” Petite Noir joins forces with Brooklyn’s own Yasiin Bey on a new version of his debut single “Till We Ghosts.” The track follows the DAZED interview which landed in August and found Petite Noir confirming that he and Yasiin had indeed been in the studio together. The track comes with a bit of backstory from Petite Noir, who recalls his collaborative work with Bey fondly:
“Yasiin had been spending a lot of time in Cape Town, and it was a privilege to meet him. He found this song really exciting, so we got him on it and…it’s pretty special. Since then, we’ve spent a lot of time together and I’ve learnt a lot from him.”
This version of “Till We Ghosts” is slated to appear on Petite Noir’s forthcoming The King Of Anxiety EP, out January 19th via Domino Records. Click the link below to listen to the alternate take of “Till We Ghosts” and get more on Petite Noir via Okayafrica.
