PBS Beat Making Lab returns with community building, beatboxing and the latest beat making challenge in episodes 4 and 5 of the six-part series from the crew in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Things start off with an announcement from Walshy Fire, who outlines the rules for the latest beat making challenge combining a string instrument called a Masinko with an Ethiopian soccer chant. The challenge promises a few cool prizes for the lucky winner. Getting back behind the boards, the budding producers run through a few ice breakers with Pierce Freelon and The Apple Juice Kid to learn the importance of collaboration and gets some words of wisdom on the subject from author and filmmaker M.K. Asante - the man behind the popular new tome BUCK. Pierce Freelon also stresses the importance of improvisation and gets the group ready to show off their global health anthem in next week's episode. Check the footage below to watch parts 4 and 5 of the PBS Beat Making Lab live from Addis Ababa. Stay tuned for more.
