Seun Kuti and Robert Glasper feature prominently in the trailer for the forthcoming
A Long Way To The Beginning LP from Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 ahead of the album's US release, slated for May 2014. The video features in-studio interviews with the pair alongside exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and clips of tracks from the project. The album co-produced by Glasper is touted by our friends at Okayafrica as "a politically-charged modern afrobeat affair that reshapes his father’s message for the present." The trailer follows the official video for "IMF" featuring M1 of dead prez. Seun refers to the album, which also features appearances from Nneka and Blitz The Ambassador, as “a soundtrack for the mindset of most young people in Africa today.” Check the footage below to get a taste of the upcoming project from Seun Kuti & Egypt 80. Pre-order A Long Way To The Beginning via iTunes. Get more on the project via Okayafrica.
