Okayafrica presents New York City's official FELABRATION party at Le Poisson Rouge on Wednesday, October 15th at 8 PM. The party in honor of the legendary Fela Kuti features performances from DJ Questlove, Debo Band and Chop & Quench 'The Fela Band' led by the Tony Award-nominated Sahr Ngaujah. Following their jumping performance at last year's FELABRATION and a stellar set at the Sundance world premiere of the Finding Fela documentary, Chop and Quench prepares to tear the stage down yet again. The 11-man Debo Band raises the bar with a unique blend of Ethiopian folk, funk and pop. Setting the party all the way off with more soulful grooves and sick rhythms, Questlove will be on deck to man the 1's and 2's.
