As the House Judiciary Committee inches toward a possible impeachment of Donald Trump, the current president is trying to shift attention to other matters he believes the government should investigate, particularly Obama's deal with Netflix.

"House Judiciary has given up on the Mueller Report, sadly for them after two years and $40,000,000 spent - ZERO COLLUSION, ZERO OBSTRUCTION. So they say, OK, lets look at everything else, and all of the deals that 'Trump' has done over his lifetime. But it doesn’t....work that way. I have a better idea. Look at the Obama Book Deal, or the ridiculous Netflix deal. Then look at all the deals made by the Dems in Congress, the 'Congressional Slush Fund,' and lastly the IG Reports. Take a look at them. Those investigations would be over FAST!" Trump tweeted Monday morning.

He then followed this up with another string of tweets, ending it with: "...so now the Democrats are trying to build a case that I enrich myself by being President. Good idea, except I will, and have always expected to, lose BILLIONS of DOLLARS..for the privilege of being your President - and doing the best job that has been done in many decades. I am far beyond somebody paying for a hotel room for the evening, or filling up a gas tank at an airport I do not own. These Radical Left Democrats are CRAZY! Obama Netflix?"
Since then, the phrase "Obama Netflix" has trended on Twitter, with users pointing out how incoherent Trump's last tweet about Obama's Netflix deal is, while also criticizing him for even calling on the government to investigate it in the first place.
\u201cDonald Trump equating the post-presidency Obama Netlix deal to his own unconstitutional use of the presidency to funnel US taxpayer and foreign money to personally enrich himself and his businesses is one of the most asinine false equivalencies this president has ever spewed.\u201d— Ahmed Baba (@Ahmed Baba) 1568651309
News of Barack and Michelle Obama's multi-year production deal with Netflix first surfaced last year. The deal allows the pair to produce original films and series for the streaming service, as the deal also potentially includes scripted series, unscripted series, docu-series, documentaries, and features.
