Nas Launches Scholarship Fund And College Grad Coaching Program

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Nas continues his entrepreneurial tear as his Queensbridge Venture Partners firm joins forces with the good people at Koru to further the Seattle-based job training institution's goal of providing the overwhelming chunk of recent college-grads who spend months out of the job-market with a proper discourse in the skills needed to land that first bread and butter opportunity. The Queens bomber explains :

"I know how hard it can be to carve out your path and purpose in life. The young people going through Koru are gritty, book smart and street smart. The program gives them an opportunity to put those smarts to work. I can’t wait to work directly with them and share what I’ve learned through my own life experiences."

On top of creating a scholarship fund, Nas will personally be coaching kids who are just making their way into the collegiate afterlife, providing them with an added word or two to help put them on a proper path to success. This news comes just a month after announcing his effort to integrate the tech community, partnering with NYC technical school General Assembly to help raise money and awareness to place a more diverse group of candidates into the school's top-notch facilities. We'll have more on Nas' extensive philanthropic and entrepreneurial crusades as details roll-out, so be sure to keep it locked.
