"Old tune, new Version, same context, even more relevant now: sick and tired of being sick and tired. -MLH"

In case you missed it,Ms. Lauryn Hill was the belle of the ball at this past weekend's TIDAL X 1015 benefit show in Brooklyn's Barclay's Center. There she joined the likes of Beyonce, Nicki Minaj,Alicia Keys, Common, Blood Orange and a grip of others in performing to raise funds for The Robin Hood Foundation, a local NYC charity with a focus on building out the city's failing school systems.

But while Ms. Hill commanded the stage and brought life to those in attendance (including an overwhelmed Nicki Minaj, who literally dropped to her knees upon meeting Ms. Hill in very "we're not worthy" fashion) it was the release of a new studio version of her Unplugged 2.o ballad "Rebel/I Find It Hard To Say" that is one of the weekend's biggest, most heart-mending takeaways. You can hear it exclusively via TIDAL (duh.) For a chance to see her perform the synth-speckled jaw-dropper live and direct, refer to Ms. Lauryn Hill's fall and winter tour dates.
