Perhaps some you know of the immutable dopeness that is MonoNeon, the virtuoso string slayer with a knack for accompanying viral content (and some of your favorite cuts) with his absolutely wicked bass or guitar chops. Recently, he’s let loose a treatment of James Chanel Wright’s keel-over-hilarious review of Patti LaBelle‘s now famed sweet potato pie; itself a testament to the man’s otherworldly comp skills.
Today, however he brings us something new for your eyes and ears to behold, picking up the six-string and laying down spirited groove under Anthony Hamilton & The Hamiltones’ freshly released cover of 2 Chainz’s “Watch Out.” Yet another brilliant musical moment amongst countless at this point, proving his spot, without any shred of doubt, as one of the most wonderfully weird musicians in the game, one that’s stood alongside Prince, Ne-Yo and Georgia Anne Muldrow in live settings and put together a cerebral project with OKP-favotire Kriswontwo as WEON. You can watch MonoNeon put his twisted touch on the 2 Chainz cover below, just be sure to head over to his YouTube page for a proper introduction. Keep you eyes on us for the next transmission.
