Marsha Ambrosius Covers Sade’s “Stronger Than Pride” [Video]

Karas Lamb Karas Lamb writes and digs for tunes you haven’t heard…

Marsha Ambrosius drops a cover of Sade‘s “Stronger Than Pride” that pays tribute to golden era hip-hop with a sample of Jeru The Damaja‘s 1993 classic “Come Clean.” The self-produced rework of Sade’s 1988 single arrives ahead of Marsha Ambrosius’ forthcoming Friends & Lovers LP, slated to drop later this year. While the Jeru sample is a total perk for hip-hop nerds, Marsha Ambrosius’ decision to sing Stuart Matthewman‘s guitar solos makes this track a total win. Check the footage below to watch the video for the track, which will also be featured on the project. Stay tuned for more from Marsha Ambrosius.
