Kid Cudi recently shocked fans with the news that he has ended his affiliation with G.O.O.D. Music - the label full of heavyweights headed by Kanye West. Cudi's exit comes not as the result of bad blood but in the interest of focusing more time and energy on his own imprint, Wicked Awesome Records. The announcement came during a recent radio interview to discuss his latest LP INDICUD with L.A.'s Power 106. The news follows speculation fueled by the obvious lack of G.O.O.D. Music artists on the tracklisting for his forthcoming album. At air time the announcement was still hot enough off the presses that even Cudi's labelmates had not been briefed on his exit. Kid Cudi assures fans that Kanye West is understanding of the decision as they both venture into new territory. Along with the change comes news that Cudi has formed a new band called 2 Be Continuum. Aside from building the label, Cudi will focus on developing and promoting his artist King Chip. INDICUD drops on April 23rd. Check the interview below.
