Kanye West Performs "Black Skinhead" Live On Le Grand Journal + New Tour Dates

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

After making what seems like countless pit stops in his travels through Europe, Kanye West has graced the French music program Le Grand Journal with a melodic rendition of his single "Black Skinhead." Never being one to stray from reinvention, Ye began this installment of his militant single with a well-pitched refrain before jumping into the savagery of his lead-off hit. A performance riddled with somewhat disorienting screeches had French spectators in a frenzy. Coming off of an action-packed European press cycle with stops on Later... with Jools Holland and BBC 1's irreverent interview with Zane Lowe and Ye, our friends across the pond have been getting the distinct pleasure of seeing a side of Kanye the States rarely get to observe. (When's the last time anyone's seen Ye smile? -Case in point)

Perhaps everyone's favorite warring rockstar is prepping that side of the pond for an impending European tour. More likely, he's giving this side of the Atlantic a taste of what's to come when his U.S. tour with hip hop's golden child Kendrick Lamar kicks off next month. Some may also inquire as to why ex-Gap Band vocalist Charlie Wilson has been joining Yeezy for all of these performances abroad, and to that, I'd say it has less to do with his appearance on Yeezus, and much more to do with the fact that apparently Ye will be lending his production wizardry to the upcoming record from Uncle Charlie. With so much in the works, there are endless ways to experience Yeezy. You can start by watching his Le Grand Journal performance below, but also catch him on your block starting October 19th in Seattle. You won't to miss the spectacle, dates below.
