Joseph Gordon-Levitt Channels Janet + Anthony Mackie Does His Hammer Dance In Epic 'Lip Sync Battle'
Throughout the year, Spike TV's Lip Sync Battle has provided us with priceless TV moments. Queen Latifah taking on Marlon Wayans, Terry Crews giving Mike Tyson the fight of his post-boxing life, Common & John Legend putting the glory into half-mouthed renditions of classics. But for their holiday special, LSB's pulling out all the stops, roping the cast of the forthcoming holidaze Christmas special The Night Before to dazzle us with with full getups and lavish performances.
And so, with no shame, the film's stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt & Anthony Mackie delivered and with anvil-like force. Mackie hit the Hammer shuffle in a take of "2 Legit 2 Quit" and Levitt, with the bravado of a seasoned Jackson impersonator, donned the black cap and fierce choreography of Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation," making for what was perhaps the single greatest lip syncing standoff that ever was.
