Watch Common & John Legend Go Head-To-Head On The 'Lip Sync Battle' Debut
Any avid viewer of The Tonight Show should, by now, have be quite familiar with the quirky goodness of their lip sync battle segments. Last night, Lip Sync Battle debuted as its very own platform on Spike TV with a top-notch roster of contestants to usher the show into the weird and wild world of nighttime programming. The inaugural installation hosted head-to-head match-ups between the show's marquee name Jimmy Fallon and wrestler-turnerd-entertainment-dynamo Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. But a clearcut highlight from the evening came when Common donned the jherri- curl and red leather to perform a wholly hilarious interpretation of Lionel Ritchie's "All Night Long," going up against brother in arms and award nods John Legend, who rocked the parachute pants for his take on MC Hammer's "Can't Touch This." And while both Legend and Com proved to absolutely remarkable in their channeling of the forefathers, like Lord Of The Rings, there can only be one y'all. And don't worry, we won't spoil anything for you. Watch all of the theatrics go down in the Lip Sync Battle debut below, including Fallon and The Rock's "Like A Prayer" vs. "Staying Alive" showdown. Stay tuned for the next episode.
