J. Period Releases A Fire DJ Premier Mix To Celebrate His Birthday

First thing's first: Happy birthday DJ Premier. The legendary producer turned 51 today. Numerous famous names from Q-Tip to Immortal Technique to Krumb Snatcha showed their love and appreciation on Twitter.
DJJ. Period decided to do something a little more special than a social media shout out. Period did a whole mix on SoundCloud, featuring all the best Premo joints, like "Nas is Like," The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Unbelievable," Royce da 5'9's "Boom" and a number of Gang Starr jams.
It's a great listen. And a wonderful way to honor the legend. Because, like J. Period said: Don't wait until the greats are gone to pay respect.
