The casts of theatrical juggernaut Hamilton and The Color Purple paused to pay tribute to Prince on Broadway this week. Led by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the cast of Hamilton closed their show on Thursday night with the lyrics to "Let's Go Crazy" before launching into a dance party inspired performance of the track. Jennifer Hudson and co-star Cynthia Erivo brought the house down with a duet performance of "Purple Rain," backed by a powerhouse chorus comprised of their audience and fellow cast members. The emotionally charged curtain call performances follow Prince's death on Thursday, at the age of 57. Check the fan footage below to watch the Broadway tributes to Prince.
