Sufjan Stevens and Gallant pay homage to Prince with a moving cover of "Purple Rain" live onstage at Coachella. Amongst a growing group of bands and artists dedicating at least a portion of their live sets to the fallen musical icon, the pair brought the house down during the second weekend of the annual fest in Indio with a performance of the title track from Prince's 1984 cinematic debut. Their tag team tip of the hat followed a Jhené Aiko assisted rendition of the NPG era classic "Diamonds and Pearls" during Gallant's solo set. Their performances are the latest in an endless stream of tributes prompted by Prince's untimely passing on Thursday, at the age of 57. Check the fan footage below to watch Sufjan Stevens and Gallant's take on "Purple Rain." Get more via coachella.com.
