It's been a minute since we caught up with Guilty Simpson. Following the September release of his Detroit's Son LP, the Motor City mic-slayer has been rather quiet, with the exception of that tough-as-nails "All Madden" remix alongside Elzhi and Phat Kat. But for those that were feeling what Guilty was working with on his latest studio album, your boy's returned with a little soul in his back pocket on the Katalyst-produced "Testify," finding the Detroit alum dicing up a psychedelic soul specimen from his frequent collaborator. Is there more heat on the way? We'll just have to wait and see, but this'll certainly hold us over for the moment.
