Eric B. Jailed In New Jersey For 17-Year-Old Warrant

Eric B. was arrested in New Jersey and jailed for two weeks because of a 17-year-old warrant.

In a report from the Associated Press, Eric B., real name Eric Barrier, was jailed on a bench warrant issued back in 2002 because he failed to appear in court for a sentencing. He had pleaded guilty to assault earlier that year. Barrier's attorney said Barrier was told back then by his former attorney there was no need for him to appear in court.

The rapper and actor was released on Tuesday after being held in Bergen County Jail since October 28.

In related news, Eric B. recently made his debut on CBS’ Blue Bloods show. The former producer, DJ and longtime Rakim collaborator is portraying a character named Detective Mike Gee. Gee is an old friend of main character Danny Reagan (played by Donnie Wahlberg). Eric made his debut as Gee during the episode “Another Look,” which premiered October 18.
