Drake Premieres New Freestyle Live In Detroit
Already in the midst of his nationwide Jungle tour, Drake seems to be eager to share new material with the world. Drake paused in the middle of his show at the Palace Detroit performance Wednesday to spit what appears to be a new freestyle (or perhaps a fully-prepared verse). Is it a rejected batch of bars from his excellent mixtape If You're Reading This It's Too Late, or perhaps a preview of his yet-to-be-confirmed LP Views From The 6?
"I would have so many friends if I didn't have money, success and accomplishments" Drake expounds, sticking close to the self-aware self-deprication that's marked so much of his lyrical output since the beginning of his career. Then again, it's also another "No new friends" sneer a la "Started From The Bottom," so it seems as if Drake is keeping all his bases covered. Watch a somewhat-shaky fan cam video of the rap below, check out tour dates for the rest of the summer's Jungle tour ( and be ready for the inevitable surprise release of his upcoming LP.
