Drake Shares Introspective Short-Film "Jungle", Scored By Noah 40 Shebib

Drake has just unveiled what can only be described as either a very long, music-less music video or a very solemn and virtually wordless short-film Jungle. Filmed in his north-of the-border hometown of Toronto, the Noah 40 Shebib (minimally) scored extended clip follows the sad faced entertainer as he pairs his lonesome disposition with a vast array of venues. There's sad face in the car, sad face in the crib, sad face in the cafe, sad face on the street and just generally a whole lot of Drake's now trademark straight-lipped frown. The one truly musical moment comes at the very end of the clip as the credits begin to roll, which is welcome because by the time you get through even trying to analyze what you've watched, 15-minutes of sad-face and introspection has passed and you'll probably find yourself itching for some sort of chaser. The one promising thing about the piece is that it seems to indicate that his View From The 6 LP might be closer to completion than any of us might have thought. So there's a glimmer of sunshine in all of this melancholic madness. In any case, you can watch Drake's Jungle below.
