Dice Raw Mixes Funk And Heavy Heartbreak On New Single "Sabrina"

Dice Raw has been up to something. Earlier this week the Philadelphia favorite son dropped off a brand new single, the ever-so-funky "Sabrina." Made up of funk guitars, burly synth bass and a simple, effective digital durm loop, the cut has Dice Raw marveling at a certain lady's style and beauty (we'll give you one guess what her name is). "One night she went through my phone / Next day I woke up she's gone / And now the concept to the song is nowhere in sight" he confesses. Let this be a lesson to all you philanderers out there--messing around just ain't worth it. "Can you tell me where we went wrong? / All we have left is this song," he also admits. Sometimes when it's time to say goodbye, the best way to do it is with a brand new song.

As the track reaches its coda things become a bit more slack, and moaning guitar bends take over where Dice's voice left off. It's a song to get ready to, go out to or maybe even come home to, depending on which angle you're trying to play. Stream the track below, and purchase your own copy of it over on Beatport.
