If you've checked out of politics this week, we can hardly blame you. Thankfully BarackDubs is pulling us back in with a brilliant, pitch-perfect-as-ever flip of President Barack Obama performing Michael Jackson's "Thriller." Now, we know what you're thinking and no, sadly there's no red leather jacket involved. But it is curiously satisfying to hear the leader of the free world croon lines like "you're fighting for your life inside a killer thriller tonight." You'll come for the dramatic pauses, but you'll want to stay for the growling. Just trust us on this one.
BarackDubs has given multiple songs the commander-in-chief-treatment, including Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" and, more recently, Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk." But is "Thriller" their best work yet, or just an on-trend holiday blob barnstormer? We really don't know the answer, but it's guaranteed you'll enjoy the dose of Beltway levity.
