Audio: Melanie Fiona X NaS "Running" + "I Been That Girl"

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Uh, two-fer Fridays? Considering Melanie Fiona is Ms. everywhere-girl right now and NaS is also apparently in killing-sh*t mode, it only makes sense they would bump into each other somewhere. Somewhere, in this case, happens to be a pretty dope track called "Running" which, just going off the soulful chords and knocking drum break, might also be a Salaam Remi production.

I'm a sucker for any type of MJB x Meth-type combination like this, so I effs with it pretty tough but I know there'll be some MF-haters on here to correct me in the comments. So just to give them something to really chew on I thought I'd throw in this other Fiona joint "I Been That Girl"--co-written by Drake! Before you go thinking it's a bandwagonist thing, Drake and Melanie have know each other since young days in Toronto, and used to be in a group together called The Renaissance (see her discuss in an on-camera Q&A with Vlad TV after the jump). Another strong composition, IMHO, but considering that Drake wrote at least part of it from the point of view of a long-suffering woman, it's destined to be more bait for the internet piranhas.
