Case in point: a recent cypher, hosted by Complex, comprised of contributions from Your Old Droog, A$AP Ferg & RATKING's Wiki, backed by modern jazz giant, Christian Scott and his always-dope quintet. Following standard conventions of cypher decorum, the trio of emcees pass around the mic like a-stuffed-to-the-brim blunt, each exhaling a cloud of potent verbiage, revealing themselves to be high-grade emcees in an age of watered-down wordplay.
