8 New Albums You Need to Hear This Week

Including new albums from KAYTRAMINÉ, Salami Rose Joe Louis, Summer Walker, Belly, and more.

With the weather turning and OOO notices already flying, the release calendar is starting to feel very seasonally attuned. In fact, this week's batch of new albums could be a preview of what we'll be hearing across parks, pools, yards, and cars, all summer.

KAYTRANADA and Aminé submit an early contender for album of the fairest quarter with their self-titled debut as KAYTRAMINÉ. Salami Rose Joe Louis returns with an expansive exploration of the spaces between genres on Akousmatikous. Summer Walker slips back into the fold with a smokey set of late-night r&b anthems on her new Clear 2: Soft LifeEP. Connie Diiamond keeps the streak alive with Underdog Szn, her debut studio album for Def Jam. And Devonté Hynes deepens his film scoring bag on the soundtrack to the new Paul Schrader film, Master Gardener.
