Nas and Santigold Dropped From Remaining 'Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' Tour Dates

The all-star line-up scales back the supporting acts

Upon announcement, the tour celebrating the 20th-anniversary of Ms. Lauryn Hill's debut album touted a stellar roster of supporting talent. The line-up read like a blockbuster festival bill, with Dave Chappelle, Kelela, SZA, M.I.A., Iman Omari, De La Soul, Shabazz Palaces, Tierra Whack, Nas, and Santigold, tagging in and out for various stops of the intercontinental marathon memorial.

But according to BrooklynVegan, instead of Nasir and Santi as the star-powered support for one of this week's tour stops, Portland fans were warmed-up by a DJ, with no forewarning of the slimmed-down bill. Taking to Twitter, Santigold confirmed their removal:

She goes on to note "production issues" were cited by Hill's team in their being booted from the line-up, listing the full docket of remaining dates that would no longer see her performances.

Nas has yet to respond, but just ahead of their removal, he announced that he was joining Ms. Hill for the New Zealand stretch of the tour in February. No word on whether that's still a go or if there'll be more cutbacks in the weeks ahead. Keep an eye on us for updates.
