Speaking from their respective corners of the internet, Kweli indulged the Abbot’s galaxy brain tendencies for nearly an hour, but kept it topical and relevant. Commencing with a few words on his recent showdown with DJ Premier, the Wu-Tang Clan architect expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate hip-hop with a contemporary and fellow pioneer. Refusing to call it a battle, RZA tells Kweli, “We was celebrating,” adding how he focused on keeping it fun and uplifting for viewers during a dark time.
The hip-hop legends went on to discuss politics, COVID-19, criminal justice reform, and staying healthy while in isolation, which was an opportunity for RZA to detail a strictly vegan and raw foods dietary regiment. He even flashes a bottle of his favorite Tumeric supplement for reference.
