Snoop Dogg serves as the latest guest on Questlove's Pandora podcast Questlove Supreme and during a part of the pair's conversation, the West Coast rapper learns that Dr. Dre's classic song "Nuthin But A G Thang," which Snoop is featured on, samples Quest's parents.

"You know you sampled my parents, right?" Quest says. "My mom and my dad."

"What?" a shocked Snoop replies.

"That's my mom and my dad," The Roots drummer responds. "Just chill 'til the next episode [laughs]."

The sample in question is the 1973 song "Are You Looking" by Congress Alley. The R&B group features Arthur Lee Andrew Thompson and Jacqui Andrews — Quest's father and mother, respectively.

From there, Quest plays the original track in the background as Snoop begins to rap a part of his guest verse from The Chronic standout song. The pair also talk about The Box music video show they grew up watching and how Quest was always excited to see the video for "Nuthin But A G Thang" come on.

"So when the shit would come on The Box in Philly and I heard that — Yo, me and Tariq lost it. Like, 'Yo, that's your mom and dad!'" Quest says. "It was like we won the lottery ticket!"

Quest's conversation with Snoop will be released on Wednesday but a snippet of their chat where they talk about "Nuthin But A G Thang" can be listened to via HipHopDX. The latest episode is in honor of the 25th anniversary of Snoop's Doggystyle.
