Surprises are rolling in for Pharrell Williams' fans. On Friday (June 10), the rapper connected with Tyler, the Creator and 21 Savage on new single "Cash In, Cash Out," with all artists performing at Something in the Water festival in Washington D.C. later this month.

"I knew the track was aggressive, and it doesn’t let up," Williams said in an Apple Music 1 interview with Zane Lowe. "So it’s like those are the two. It’s like letting two pit bulls loose. Ravenous. Two ravenous wolves. Tyler went crazy. He had done that verse before he put his last album out."
In January, ahead of their first collaboration, 21 Savage crowned Williams "the king of drip."

Also on Friday, Williams revealed his "Pharrell & Phriends" special guests at Something in the Water, including Clipse, Justin Timberlake, N.O.R.E., Q-Tip and SZA. Also slated to perform at the festival are Tierra Whack, BIA, Calvin Harris, Chloe x Halle, Lucky Daye, Syd and others.
Last October, Williams cited “toxic energy” as the reason for pulling Something in the Water Festival from Virginia, per Variety. In March 2021, his cousin, Donovon Lynch was killed by a Virginia Beach police officer.
“I love my city, but for far too long it has been run by and with toxic energy,” Williams wrote. “The toxic energy that changed the narrative several times around the homicide of my cousin, Donovan Lynch, a citizen of Virginia, is the same toxic energy that changed the narrative around the mass murder and senseless loss of life at Building Number 2.”
Passes for Something in the Water are available now.
